We do not under any circumstances pass your personal details to any third party other than to Global Iris and HSBC Secure ePayments, when you elect to pay by an online Credit or Debit Card transaction.

Oakside's English web site http://www.classic-clocks.co.uk/ includes an online price calculator with prices in Sterling and Euro, our German language web site http://www.classic-clocks.co.uk/german/ and our French language web site http://www.classic-clocks.co.uk/french/ both include an online price calculator with prices in Euro.

Any prices shown in other currencies are for guidance only and we do not imply or accept any contractual obligation to supply our products at the guide price shown in those other foreign currencies

Select your clock from either the Oakside, Kieninger, Hermle or Antonio Altobel Clock Galleries. All completion invoices will be in Sterling or Euro depending on how the original order was placed! Fluctuations in currency exchange rates will effect all other foreign currency conversions.

We will supply your clock at the price quoted when we received your deposit, irrespective of any price increase that Oakside imposes after that date; we do however reserve the right to cancel your order and refund your deposit should our suppliers significantly increase prices.

As Oakside purchases clocks manufactured by Kieninger, Hermle or Antonio Altobel in Euro, the Stirling price displayed on this web site will change as exchange rates fluctuate. If the total price shown on the invoice generated when you place an order is higher than the total price displayed on this web site when you take delivery, we will invoice you at the lower of the two prices.

Refunds on returned goods.

PARTS, CLOCK MOVEMENTS & MOVEMENTS SETS: All PRODUCTS are thoroughly inspected and carefully packed before leaving Oakside. If within fourteen days of receiving your parts and after consultation with Oakside you then decide to return your purchase of products we will inspect the returned items and providing they are undamaged, we will refund the full purchase price, less the original delivery charge, and less a restocking charge.

Oakside Online Purchase Returns Policy

The Consumer Contracts Regulations 1/ Online returns timelines. You have the right to cancel at any time from the moment you place your online order, and up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods. This is sometimes referred to as a ‘cooling-off period’. You need to notify the retailer of your wish to cancel your order within this time period – by email, for example. You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify the retailer of your cancellation to return the goods. 2/ Do I have to pay to return unwanted goods? You must cover the delivery cost for returning unwanted goods. We recommend you get proof of postage, just in case the retailer later disputes you've returned your goods. Proof of postage should be sufficient evidence to prove you returned the goods. If your goods are faulty, you shouldn't have to pay to return the goods. Read our section on returns costs for faulty products for more information. 3/ Can I get delivery costs refunded? The following advice applies to you if your online order arrived on time as expected and you’d now like to return it because you no longer want it. Notify the retailer of your wish to cancel the goods and return them within the returns time period. After returning the goods, the retailer should refund you the cost of the goods and the standard delivery cost you paid to get the goods sent to you in the first place. Your refund for the goods and standard delivery cost must be paid within 14 calendar days after returning the goods, or evidence that they were returned. If the retailer has offered to collect the goods, it should refund you 14 days from the date you informed it you wanted to cancel the contract. So, this means you don't have to wait for the retailer to have collected the goods to get your refund.

Export Orders

Oakside accepts export orders from most countries. Please be aware that goods being conveyed by couriers are not insured against damage that could occur whilst in transit. Please make a preliminary enquiry using our online enquiry form by clicking on Contact Oakside.

Completion Invoices

We will invoice you for the outstanding balance when your clock is ready for delivery and we require full payment before dispatch of your clock. Ownership of the clock passes to you when the payment has been cleared into our bank account.

Payment upon Collection or Delivery

Customers who arrange their own private courier collection or choose to personally collect clocks or other items from Oakside, must pay in advance by card transaction or by bank transfer.

If we are delivering your clock please be aware that we do not accept card or cheque payments at the time of delivery.

Delivery Period Oakside Clocks

As each of our Longcase Clocks are handcrafted, delivery periods will fluctuate; we will make every effort to complete the construction and delivery of your order as quickly as production permits but we will not sacrifice quality to speed production. We will advise you of the approximate construction and delivery period when we receive your order or when you make an enquiry!

Delivery Period Kieninger Clocks.

As each of Kieninger's clocks are assembled to order we can only quote a delivery date based on information provide by Kieninger when we place an order. You may place an order with a deposit and we will advise you of Kieninger's delivery forecast shortly after - if their delivery date is beyond one acceptable to you we will immediately refund your full deposit payment. We will make every effort to ensure that you clock is delivered as quickly as production permits but Kieninger will not sacrifice quality to speed production.

Delivery Period Hermle Clocks.

Our Hermle Gallery has symbols that give an indication of the delivery date of each model but we are happy to contact the factory to determine their stock position for any particular clock prior to you ordering. Alternately, you may place an order with a deposit and we will contact AA to get confirmation of their current delivery forecast - if their delivery date is beyond one acceptable to you we will immediately refund your full deposit payment. We will make every effort to ensure that you clock is delivered as quickly as production and transportation permits.

Our Antonio Altobel Gallery has symbols that give an indication of the delivery date of each model but we are happy to contact the factory to determine their stock position for any particular clock prior to you ordering. Alternately, you may place an order with a deposit and we will contact AA to get confirmation of their current delivery forecast - if their delivery date is beyond one acceptable to you we will immediately refund your full deposit payment. We will make every effort to ensure that you clock is delivered as quickly as production and transportation permits.

Our web site quotations are inclusive of VAT, Packing and Shipping to all UK and Ireland addresses. We will be pleased to advise delivery costs to any other part of the world.

Damage or Loss during shipment.

OAKSIDE employ a Professional Packaging Company to design shipping cartons for Movement Sets and Repair parts etc and we thoroughly inspect all items during packing. Oakside use major carriers to deliver all goods. The recipient must inspect the goods on the day of arrival and notify the carrier immediately of any damage and any claims for loss or damaged should be made directly to the carrier. Oakside will not accept any claims for damage or loss incurred during transport by third party carriers. You can ask Oakside for a quotation for transit insurance.

Guarantee - Parts

PARTS: All parts are thoroughly inspected and carefully packed before leaving Oakside.

The courier has a duty of care for the safe delivery of the goods.

Parts must be inspected in the company of the delivery driver at the time and date of delivery and any damages must be noted on the delivery note and a copy handed to the courier driver.

Claims for loss or damage to the contents should therefore be made directly to the carrier.

You can ask Oakside for a quotation for transit insurance.

Guarantee

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the quality of your purchase from Oakside Classic Clocks, please contact us by e-mail or letter within 7 days of receipt of the goods and we will arrange for either collection and the supply of a replacement clock or a full refund of the purchase price.

Please be advised that you have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your care (if you decide to cancel) and for arranging and paying for the safe return of the goods to us. The goods must be returned so that they can be sold again as new. We recommend you contact us first so that we can advise on the safe transport of the clock and the preferred carrier to be used.

Kieninger provide a two year mechanical warrantee on the clock movement installed in a Kieninger clock. For a further period of three years, Oakside will inspect and rectify free of charge any Kieninger movement originally fitted in a Kieninger clock purchased from Oakside. In all circumstances the warrantees are subject to non abuse of the movement and the movement must be returned to Oakside for inspection and rectification.

Kieninger Clock Warrantee - We only provide after sales support for the Kieninger clocks that we have supplied; Oakside will not undertake any repairs on behalf of other retailers. Kieninger clock owners who have purchased their clock from other dealers must contact that dealer direct supplier to arrange for repairs.

Hermle Clock Warrantee - Hermle provide a two year mechanical warrantee on a clock movement in stalled in a Hermle clock. The movement must be returned tio Oakside for inspection and rectification.

We only provide after sales support for the Hermle clocks that we have supplied; Oakside will not undertake any repairs on behalf of other retailers. Hermle clock owners who have purchased their clock from other dealers must contact that dealer direct supplier to arrange for repairs.

Exceptions: We cannot provide a refund or replacement if you have commissioned a bespoke clock to your specifications. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

Complaints Procedure:

We believe that the quality of our clocks will provide satisfaction but in the rare event of a problem occurring, we will attempt to handle all complaints fairly, effectively and confidentially. Any complaint via telephone, fax or e-mail is answered as soon as possible. Any complaint that comes in via the post is replied to immediately, by telephone if a number is quoted, and we aim that all complaints are resolved with 5 working days.

Oakside Classic Clocks reserves the right to improve specifications without notice.
